•Presentation is everything! The better they look, the better they sell! Please check for stains, style (current styles only), broken zippers, pet hair, torn hemlines, etc. and remove or repair those items. Make sure your garments don’t smell old or smoky.
•All pants must be pinned to the top of a hanger, not to the horizontal bar or folded over, as they tend to fall off and end up on the floor or slide to one side of the hanger. Safety pin all sets and accessories securely together. Pants should be hung on the back of the shirt. Both pieces need to be viewable without unpinning them.
- Maternity clothing will be limited to 30 pieces per consignor and they must be current style within the last 5 years. Please email us if you are a first time consignor with more than 30 maternity items that you would like to consign.
•Shoes need to be in gently loved and like-new condition! We suggest using Ziploc bags . Please put your consignor number and price on the outside of the bag using a Sharpee. No shoe boxes will be displayed.
•The best way to display hats is to safety pin the tag to the hat. Please do not put them in plastic bags.
•Use original packaging if possible! Otherwise Lg or XL plastics bags will work. Another idea is to use the plastic from clothes you have picked up at the dry cleaners.
• Safety pin tags to blankets as they will be displayed in bins. It is best to keep them out of a bag and off of a hanger so they are easy to feel and inspect. For small receiving blankets, group 2 or 3 together in a Ziploc bag. Place the tag inside the Ziploc bag (but do NOT tape the tag to the bag) with the bar code facing out for easy scanning.
•Bottles, bibs, rattles, socks, bows, etc group together appropriately in Ziploc bags. Place the tag inside the Ziploc bag with the bar code facing out for easy scanning (but do NOT tape the tag to the bag). It also helps to write your consignor number and info on the Ziploc with a Sharpee in case the tag comes out during the sale.
TOYS AND EQUIPMENT
TOYS SELL GREAT! Price them reasonably and you’ll take nothing home! We tell consignors to start the tagging process with your toys. They are easy to tag, they sell great and they bring in great money.
Large Little Tykes toys and furniture are in high demand! When tagging large toys it is best to also attach a piece of masking tape to the toy with your consignor information. We will be able to sell your item if the tag comes off.
•Must be clean and in working order (batteries included.) Small parts must be bagged and attached to the main part of the toy securely. If parts get separated the item will not be on the selling floor. Games and boxed puzzles should be taped closed. Make sure ALL pieces to games and puzzles are present! Loose puzzles should be wrapped securely in clear Saran wrap to keep the pieces intact. Small toys should be grouped and put in ziploc bags. Place tag in the ziploc bag with bar code facing out for easy scanning. Please do not tape the bag and do not tape the tag to the bag. It is also good to write your consignor number and item price on the ziploc bag with a Sharpee in case the tag comes out.
•We will only accept interactive stuffed animals. No regular stuffed animals, please!
DVD & Books
•Single DVDs and books should not be placed in bags. Tape tag to the back of the item. Multiple books and DVDs should be placed in bags with the tag inside the bag. You must be able to shut the bag so we know which books are supposed to be together. Please place the tag inside the bag with the barcode facing out. Do not tape the tag to the bag and do not tape the bag shut.
•Your car seat must have been manufactured within the past five years. It must not be subject to recall or have been in an accident. All seat covers and straps must be thoroughly cleaned.
•Baby equipment must be current and have been purchased within the last five years. All equipment must have working batteries or your item will be pulled and or sold at half price for the entire sale. Please make sure all your equipment is clean and in working order with all parts securely attached using tape or a ziploc bag. Instructions on how to use the equipment is always a plus. If your equipment does not look gently used or better, we may pull the item.
Instruction papers, warranties, etc. attached to strollers, exersaucers, cribs, etc. are a great addition. You can go the manufacturer's website and download instructions which should include the retail price so people know what kind of deal they are getting.
